Gaudi

One of the main reasons I'm in Barcelona is for a man. Not just any man. Gaudi.

After learning of his impact on the aesthetics of Spain, in a design lecture, I knew immediately I had to meet him, channelled through his work, so to speak.

La Pedrera is more impressive than words could begin to cover. The whimsical journey that is La Pedrera starts in the peddle shaped doorway, continues up the bright and narrow hallway, into the apartment, through the many arches in the attic and then to the rooftop... The chimneys, randomly placed, each have their own characteristics and cannot be overlooked. This was truly such a beautiful place, and should not be rushed through.
